138. I agree that many areas of the resort could be converted to xeriscape. But please absolutely not artificial turf!! Many areas of the golf course are really just walking paths and could be converted to semi hard surfaces if that would reduce operational costs. Similarly, areas of grass up against the walls could be converted to attractive xeriscape. Walking paths on both sides of the narrow road through the golf course should be added especially for safety and to possibly reduce turf maintenance operations? A good sized dog area is a more important priority than a fancy new bar at ES or a fancy restaurant at LP. 139. There are several lots that have a lot of unkept areas and weeds. Why is this happening? From talking with others it appears some owners are treated differently than others. Why? Are friends of committee members or board members giving special treatment to those owners? It sometimes appears that way which is unfortunate because all owners should be treated the same. It also appears the resort is lacking in refuse pickup-perhaps additional pickup days should be added especially during certain times, i.e. times when there is mass exodus and many owners have large amounts of trash. 140. #34 We are back and forth from San Diego to ORPS for about 2-2.5 weeks a month. See 501 Owner 2 comment here. Concerning Bella Roma. Maybe the GM of ORPS could post an "ORPS Manager's Special". I know in the past management has encouraged us from time to time to frequent whatever restaurant was at ORPS so that it would not leave due to lack of business. I think Bella Roma is one of the better restaurants we have had so far, and instead of reminding people we should "use it or lose it", having an ORPS Manager's Special would show a real solidarity with the restaurant, like it is very much a part of us. It is true though, we will either use it or lose it. (Hah! An "ORPS Manager's Use It or Lose It Special"?) People should realize how much it costs us to have to get a new restaurant in that space every two or three years, both in time and money. 141. Why a second survey? What happened to results of the last one? 142. We plan on being here 6-8 months out of the year in the very near future. 143. I feel that the administration people that take care of the resort maintenance needs to be overhauled, when a request for an item to be fixed is reported to them and after a week or several days someone else phones in and or you follow up on it the standard answer is we did not know about this item needing to be fixed, it has become a running joke around the resort. The fitness room has a white board with about 6 or 7 machines to be fixed for about 3 months. There are only 2 out of the 5 treadmills working properly. Belts are slipping on them and someone is going to get hurt on them. Satellite D should have the saunas removed or renovated so the washrooms could have 3 showers each. 144. The really old and unmaintained RVs need to be removed and the poorly maintained lots need to be brought up to par. 145. There are never any tennis players using the Phase I tennis court in December and hardly ever in January. I would like to be able to play Pickle Ball there when I see it empty day after day.
