OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Comments on Any Aspect of Outdoor Resort Page 19

146. I would like to see resort offer a lot rental pool (not lot and RV) at the front office. This would be a great benefit to owners who are absent for a period of time to have their lot rented out and handled for them while they are away. 147. I feel it is important to keep some grass areas. Grass provides more oxygen providing a calming effect and cools the area around it. It looks much better than turf. Turf is a petroleum product (eco hazard) which gets dirty and dusty without watering. DG is more eye appealing than turf and provides a sense of beauty but all DG would not provide a good contrast of beauty. There needs to be a balance between operating costs and the calming effect of the beauty and oxygen around us. 148. Raise speed limits. No contractors on weekends except for emergencies. Pool deck at ES is extremely dangerous, slippery and shows the dirt. Enforce rules, e.g. covers on rigs too early. Love the shotgun starts, it improves better utilization of the course. Remington has done a great job and handles himself very well when something is not right. Change the club championship for golf to two days only. 149. Outdoor Resorts is a fantastic place to be. I hope we are able to continue maintaining high quality facilities, standards and cleanliness. We especially enjoy golf and Pickle ball. The pickle ball people we have met are wonderful. We are so happy that a regulation ball is now allowed. I hope in the future that the tournament ball and extended hours would be available for use of a regular pickle ball. After 4 PM. 150. Pickle is getting crowed and wait times excessive. Could we do one or two tennis satellite to pickleball as their use is so low. 151. Question 28, part 4 asks how important is it to enhance and maintain the resort to attract new owners and maintain property values? I feel we definitely need to up our maintenance on existing facilities to maintain property values; while making enhancements to attract new owners should wait. Our HOA fees just keep increasing due to labor/staffing costs with no added benefit to members. 152. Have the garbage and recycling bins emptied more frequently. Better response to issues with damaged sprinklers and landscape areas that need attention. Have satellite tennis courts washed and blown off more frequently. 153. Hopefully we can upgrade the LP pool area with the tennis center addition. Consider having all golfer owners purchase yearly golf memberships in order to decrease the HOAs as is done in many resorts throughout the valley. With our ever increasing HOAs any owner who doesn't play golf is subsidizing those who play. Any potential new buyer who is not a golfer must find it tough to justify the purchase...it’s a great deal if you are a golfer. 154. Laundry facilities need to be upgraded. Too many machines are in need of repair. 155. Roads are in need of repairs and I have not heard anything to improve this area. EXISTING rules and regulations need to be enforced. This Five Star Resort is quickly becoming a dog pound. I have a difficult time trying to accept the damage and defacing of this Resort from dogs and irresponsible pet owners. It doesn't matter where you direct dog owners, wherever they go inside the Resort, it is a disaster! Learn from all the experience we have had in past years!
