OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Comments on Any Aspect of Outdoor Resort Page 33
277. Please provide better communication with what changes happen to our OUR resort; I’m always surprised with the changes each year when we return in Nov. Numerous Pros are available in and around Cathedral City for lessons. Remember we are a little par 3!!!! 278. I feel that with a proper management company that understands our vision, we could take advantage of the missed opportunities (revenue streams) at ORPS and continue to grow and foster our community spirit. Currently our board and our management lack innovation and creativity, it's always the same thing every year. We need to find a way to attract and engage new owners (with services, communications, entertainment and sporting activities that suit today’s world), while still providing balance with older owners who like things the way they were when they first purchased in ORPS. 279. Prospective owners need a much better greeting and welcome at the front office. They act disturbed to even have to interact with owners 280. The acoustics in both club houses is terrible. You need better sounds systems to do justice to the entertainment the resort has. Please! Please! Please! Never let another group come into this resort and create such unrest in this community and chase away people because of their actions. I know of 30 couples who left. It just really scares me that another group this powerful will come in and we don't have a leg to stand on to protect our rights and interest. 281. 31 above should never say 2+. Two is the max of dogs allowed. You should have put 3 down then penalized anyone that ticked off 3. Meaning they have 3 dogs. 282. More serving staff is needed at the ES clubhouse for social events. 10 mins in line to get a drink is not good for customers or sales. 283. In case you don’t know it takes approximately 2.25 hours to play golf. Why would someone think we need food and beverage service on the course? Men’s and ladies’ golf programs. Please enlighten us on these so I can sign up. Why no paid pickle ball pro, or tennis pro. Likely because the pickle ball club likes their board supported empire. This facility was/is intended to be a community of social interaction, it was never intended to be a private club like Augusta National or the Royal Britannia Yacht Club. This resort was wonderful for over 30 years. Why do we seem bent on reinventing it? It is quickly becoming a VRBO trailer park. We should ensure that this type of rental activity is aligned with the county regulations. Also why have you not asked about the increased expenses related to hiring a golf director, as well as an assistant pro. Why do we have 2 staff members working on Tuesday and Thursday when the main golf course is basically closed till 12:30. Closing a facility for 5 hours for on average 110 golfers. Great use of an asset! 284. We love outdoor resorts and thank the board for all they do. We would like to see maintenance as a top priority of the property. Ensure laundry facilities are all working properly, and showers and washrooms are all working properly. We love the new management of the golf course but are concerned with dog owners becoming too lax with relief areas so relieving themselves on our lot and others and bringing them into areas such as clubhouses and swimming pools for visits. It is unhygienic in such close quarters. All the best to you!
