OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Comments on Any Aspect of Outdoor Resort Page 34
285. Our satellite pool area especially the hot tub needs attention. The ES tile around the pool looks absolutely terrible. Bad decision on the tile color and is not kept clean. Lounge chairs around the LP and ES pools are strung all over the place. Should be lined up nicely every morning like a 5 star resort. The quilters should have their own dedicated room instead of being kicked out for a few hour Ukulele practice and happy hours when the weather is bad. Other facilities such as a woodworking shop would be nice. Would like to see the 19th hole open at 3:00 so golfers finishing after 12:30 shotgun can go in for a drink. Would like to have better use of the owner's lounge. Some easy listening music Friday nights. Would like a pool bar at La Palma. Everything is at ES. Would like to see some food served at the 19th hole like wing night, etc. Hamburger night is a huge hit. There should be a bar menu at the 19th hole. Better fitness classes available would be nice. Zumba, stretch & tone, etc. A restaurant that is not strictly Italian food. If dog owners want a dog area, they should pay for it like the pickleball did. Pickleball members paid for the pickleball facility out of their own pockets not out of resort money. Also why can’t dog owners let their dogs go on their own lots or quit being lazy and take them out of the resort! The dog owners here are very irresponsible. 286. Some activities that have been a part of ORPS for many years have been left off the survey - book club, line dancing, tap dancing classes, choir, ping pong. These groups have had challenges retaining their meeting rooms. Equally sharing the current meeting spaces by all groups and clubs and not allowing one group to monopolize a space for longer than a couple of days a week would be appreciated. This year has been especially difficult because people were allowed to reserve the game tables in the mail room and the East Room space for their own private game nights for the season (November to April) not giving any others the chance to use those spaces on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Also the issue of continually dealing with broken washers and dryers in the laundry rooms should be a major concern. With the money generated from the laundry card sales heavy duty commercial grade appliances should be purchased and out outdated machines should be phased out. 287. 1) Please get the dog situation under control, dog owners are still freely using all green landscape as a dumping station, the addition of a pet park is critical, perhaps the west wall area should be considered. 2) The board of directors should be reminded that we as owners voted them in and have the same ability to vote them out, they have stopped listening to the issues at hand and have given us the perception that they have their own agenda. 3) There are a number of small issues that a 5 star resort should never have to deal with, i.e., lack of hot water for showers, lack of working washer / dryers, lack of quality customer service 288. Love this place! 289. Do not like the dogs using the pickleball and tennis areas as relief areas. There should be a larger dog park available for them. Some satellite tennis courts should be converted to pickleball courts as they are not being used at all. 290. Need more garbage areas, more pet relief areas, more frequent emptying of dumpsters, more rodent and fly control.
