OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Comments on Any Aspect of Outdoor Resort Page 39

321. I notice that there were no questions about the satellites, which I think is a HUGE oversight! The pools and tennis courts at each satellite appear to be in good condition, but I worry that there has not been any attention paid to the state of the laundry facilities (abysmal, in my humble opinion; each and every one of the washing machines and dryers need to be replaced!!!!!!); the shower facilities - very outdated and in desperate need of upgrading; and the hot tubs, which are shut down way too frequently due to maintenance issues. I am frustrated that our HOA dues are not focused on the amenities that impact each resident's daily life; but instead focus disproportionately on catering to the minority that golf, play pickleball & tennis, etc. Please don't forget to focus on the less glamorous necessities. Thank you. 322. During my winters at ORPS my participation in various elements of the resort and its amenities have changed. As a new owner the social activities were important to having fun and meeting new people and building friendships. At this stage of ownership my interests have winnowed down, and my enjoyment of noisy social activities has also declined. Would there be an opportunity to a speaker series on the climate and flora of the desert? Or a museum orientation series so that owners get out and see more of the history of the valley? I am active on committees and I am sorry not to have more time for what the resort and the valley has on offer. 323. It is fantastic that the Resort finally saw fit to give the huge number of pickleball players what they needed to play in their own resort a proper ball. It took way too long for this resort and its Board to change with the times. The next giant issue is owners with dogs are not being given access to common areas which is a big problem. In the vast majority of other communities like this common areas are open a to pets and that lessens the impacts on restricting them to small areas. Owners here believe they own the common areas and they don’t. It is time for the Board to stand up and change this for the good of the entire resort. The pet area behind the trash cans is something you would see at a one star resort. 324. You should just view yourselves as not dog friendly and not allow pets in the park except for current owners that have dogs until they sell then no more. That is nicer than being as unfriendly as you are. 325. It seems to be a hassle to do anything when trying to improve your lot or even move a RV. From the resort side. There is a lot of dislike between the workers and the resort. 326. Should limit pets to one per unit - grandfather those already owners to keep whatever pet they have. No matter your policies they are peeing all over the place 327. The trash area is deplorable! The dumpsters need to be picked up every day during the January to March season. There is no excuse for that filth! 328. ORPS should not be solely catering to just one group within the resort. I’m tired of not getting enough bang for my buck just because I don’t golf. The only aspect of the resort we use is the ES pool and it is a DISASTER. The pool deck is always dirty and rarely gets cleaned. I don’t even want to walk on the pool deck it’s so disgusting. We didn’t even get new furniture like we were promised. The whole renovation was a huge joke- you closed the pool for months and then the next year it was closed again. Why wasn’t the job just done right and all in the first closure. Makes NO sense. 329. Repair the pool at La Palma, but do not use the same tile as ES. The ES pool deck is horrible!
