UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE PROCESS There are several key stages to joining HSDC. Here’s our guide to what you should be doing and when:
YEAR 10 TASTER DAYS We offer Taster Days to Year 10 students who may be interested in joining us after leaving school. Taster Days give you the opportunity to explore our campus facilities, experience college life and find out more information about our courses. Taster Days run towards the end of the academic year, and you’ll get to choose which subjects you would like to experience on the day. THINKING OF BUYING A NEW LAPTOP? Our device purchase scheme gives you the chance to start college with a brand new device, without having to pay for it all at once. We’ve partnered with Academia for education to enable our students to purchase a new device at a discounted rate. Visit hsdc.ac.uk/get-digital for more information.

By reading our prospectus, visiting our website and following our social media pages, you can gain an insight into what life at HSDC Alton will be like. We will also be visiting a number of schools to deliver assemblies and speak about college options at Careers Fairs and Parents’ Evenings. APPLYING You can complete your application online at our website hsdc.ac.uk and you can find instructions about this process on page 122 of this prospectus. Applications are open from October to the following August. However, to avoid disappointment we would encourage you to submit your application in the autumn term.
