PHOENIX ENERGY GENERAL SALES MANAGER NEIL MCCRACKEN OFFERS AN UPDATE ON THE LATEST, AND FORTHCOMING, INITIATIVES ORGANISED BY THE NORTHERN IRELAND NETWORK GAS ASSOCIATION (NINGA)… Growing the number of customers connected to the gas network
Phoenix Energy’s Energy Advice Hub most recently visited Newtownards.
It’s hard to believe that summer has gone already, the kids are back to school and the darker nights are already beginning to roll in as we start to turn our attention to the upcoming winter period. In preparation for what is traditionally the busiest time of the year for those of us involved in the local gas industry, NINGA hosted the second of its trade show events at Titanic Hotel on September 3. Thank you to all of those who supported these new-look events this year, and I look forward to developing the format further next year. To understand how we can best support the local industry, we carried out some independent market research with our local installer network in April this year. That research highlighted the
importance of alternative engagement opportunities to ensure independent businesses are provided with a platform to share knowledge and are equipped with the most up-to-date information to continue to provide excellent service to their customers. Engaging with the local industry at smaller breakfast events has been very well received, and I look forward to hosting more throughout this year. Growing the number of connected customers remains our key focus and we continue to explore new ways to engage with households which have not yet considered switching. Our Energy Advice Hub has been busy over the last number of months, most recently in Newtownards at Conway Square, where locals had the opportunity
to show off their golf putting skills as they waited to talk to our expert energy advisors. The Hub will be in full swing from September as we reach out to households again in Newtownards, Lisburn, Larne and across the towns in our East Down network. To support these initiatives, there will be a number of bespoke incentives to help customers make the switch. Please make sure you check the NINGA portal for information on any available incentives. Finally, the Gala Ball event returns on Friday, November 28, where we will get the opportunity to get out of the work clothes and into the formal wear to be entertained by local talent as we reflect on the successes of many of those involved in the local industry.
