VERSATILE SUPPLIED A VENTILATION SOLUTION, WHICH WAS CRITICAL IN REDUCING THE HEATING LOAD AND ACHIEVING A PASSIVE HOUSE-COMPLIANT ENERGY BUILDING… MVHR SOLUTION
Co Meath-based climate control specialist Versatile was commissioned to supply a mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) system compliant with Passive House standards for the project. Versatile supplied a Zehnder ComfoPost, an air-to-water exchanger for use with ComfoWell air distribution connections. Available in a variety of sizes to heat air supplied by the Zehnder ventilation system, ComfoPost units are suitable for airflows up to 166l/s (600m3hr) with the maintenance-free units made of steel with aluminium and copper pipe forming
the heating and cooling coils. With the innovative development including 51 houses and 546 apartments, acoustics were a key element of the solution, as an ultra quiet application was required. Andrew Treacy, Managing Director of Versatile, said, “We are hoping this project will be the first of many for this solution.
