Bronze awards went to Olivier Corbeil in children’s green belt sparring, Zachary Desnoyers in green belt sparring, and Mc- Combe in orange belt poomse. Joelle Da- vies placed fourth in orange belt sparring while Dan and Casey Naylor finished fourth in black belt poomse in the family category.

The YMCA in Rockland as been a branch dojang (school) of the Tae E. Lee Tae Kwon Do martial arts franchise for the past couple of years. Tae kwon do (TKD) is a Korean mar- tial arts that emphasizes kicking techniques and is split into two separate styles, the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) and the International Tae Kwon Do Federation (ITF). The Tae E. Lee school offers WTF style tae kwon do and the Clarence-Rockland YMCA program has swelled in numbers to the point that it is the second-largest YMCA TKD program in Ontario with more than
50 students at all belt levels from white to black stripe and black.
