Card Bingo at Vista Del Sol
Every other Wednesday night here at VDS you can play “Card Bingo” in the Clubhouse at 6:30. This event is usually over at 9:00 PM. All you need to bring is a $10.00 prize for the prize table. Some months there is a theme to the prizes.
There are 3-4 players at each table and they are dealt 13 cards from a deck of 52 cards.
The caller…..(this is Larry Kuhn during the prime season and usually Greg Walters or Trudy during the summer months) shuffles the over sized deck of cards and randomly pulls the cards from the shuffled pile. If one of your cards are called you discard it into the middle of your table. Object…Be the first person to discard all of your 13 cards into the middle of your table. You yell “Bingo” and get to select a prize from the prize table unless you want to steal a gift someone else has (similar to the white elephant game played during the holidays). However, here at VDS Card Bingo the prizes can only be stolen once. There can be as many as 3 winners per game. Larry has stated that there are A LOT of different types of Bingo games they play. For example, sometimes you pass cards, sometimes you throw different cards in before you start the game. Larry said it is a very fast pace and they may get in as many as 20 bingo games in the 2 ½ hours there.
There is no sign up sheet, just show up with your favorite beverage (a snack if you would like) and a prize for the table.
