Rock Painting has become popular again here at VDS. Karen Talbot is our instructor and she provides everything you need plus 2 rocks for a $5.00 fee. In December we did Christmas themed rocks. January class (which will not be until after print time) will be a combined “open painting” class and the first “Pet Memorial” rock class. Hoping we will have photos for next newsletter. You can take your rocks home to add to your own garden or you can talk to Karen about hiding your rock under the “Arizona Rocks” guidelines. Check the signup sheets. This class is always the third Thursday of the month.

Patti Schneider is having a hard time getting to VDS this year. However, when she does arrive she plans on Introducing everyone to a nationwide program called “I found a quilted Heart”. If you want to know about this program Google it or there is a Facebook page on it also. She has sent me samples to show and pass out. I have the samples if anyone wants to start the program. This class is now scheduled for the 5 th of February. DJ Camile is not offering the Mosaic class in February, however she is going to offer a class called “Arctic Flow Painting” on February 21st. I do not know much about this class, but assume there will be samples in the office along with the signup sheet.
One last thing, we are always looking for instructors. So if you have a craft and you would like to share it with your neighbors, please get with Trudy in the office and set up an available date to teach your craft.
