Peter’s correct answer is like the clear true tone which comes from this glass. What do you say about Christ ? Do you say that He was a great teacher and prophet? That is not enough. Each one needs to confess Him to be the Son of God as Peter did. Which one of these glasses are you like? Are you giving out a true or a false message about Christ?

pie all over this land. Who was this Man who could raise the sick and re turn the dead to life, and who could read their very thoughts? They had been talking about that among them selves. Most of the people didn’t listen to what Jesus told them about Himself; they began to guess about Him, instead. They thought He might be one of the prophets raised from the dead. They even thought that He might be John the Baptist, that great prophet who had come t° tell the world about Jesus, and whom the wicked Herod had killed. How sad all this must have made Jesus feel! Weren’t the people listening to His message 7 Didn’t they under stand when He told them who He was ? Did His disciples understand? He turned to them and asked, “But whom say ye that I am?” Immediately Peter gave the answer for which Jesus was looking. “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God,” he said. Do you believe that, too?

The pastor who owns a set of these volumes will find here a wealth of m aterial to enrich his own mind and h eart in preparation for preaching; and the Sabbath School teacher who can consult them will be well equipped as he faces his class. The. set would be a valuable addition to the library of any church, Bible Insti tute or college.“—The Sunday School Times, Nov. 5, 1938. OBJECTS: Two drinking glasses (one cracked so as to give a false note when tapped) and a lead pencil. LESSON: Did y o u know that glasses could be like people? These two glasses look alike, but they are far from being the same. One is false and the other true. As I tap them with this pencil, see whether you can tell which is the false one. Yes, this one does not ring true. I t is cracked. The other glass has a clear tone. You do not have to talk long with a boy or girl until you find out whether or not he or she rings true. These glasses remind us of what peo ple said about Christ. He had asked His disciples, “Whom do men say that I, the Son of man, am?” (Matt. 16:13). They replied, “Some say that thou art John the Baptist; some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.” All these statements were false, just as the note from this cracked glass is false. Christ then asked the disciples, “But whom say ye that I am?” Peter answered, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Christ said, “Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is In heaven,”
