Ambassador of the Year Profile
Appreciation for Award: I am deeply moved to have received the Ambassador of the Year award for 2020. Since relocating from the northern California area about 2 years ago, I have become greatly appreciative of the beauty of the area and the compassionate and giving nature of the friendly folks that I have met. It has long been my desire to bring value when possible, especially when relating to business and entrepreneurship. I believe that supporting the small business community is essential to the wellbeing of the community at large. Prior to relocating to Gold Hill, on the banks of the Rogue River, I enjoyed a 40+ year career as owner/broker of a real estate company in the Sacramento area. My activities included participation for many years in the Folsom and Orangevale Chambers of Commerce. Challenging times, like that which we are faced with today, call for a cohesive community-minded approach in order to sustain Chamber effectiveness. It is my desire to support and encourage the benevolent spirit of entrepreneurial enterprises to thrive in the face of adversity! I consider myself blessed to be sharing this remarkable life with the friendly, well- intentioned people of southern Oregon.
