business a failure. “They say comparison is the thief of joy,” Erin says. “I think what happens to some team members is that they look at how successful one person is in this business, and they search that person out on social media, see that they have a very active account, and they think to themselves, ‘I could never do that. I don’t know how to do reels. I don’t attract that many followers.’ And maybe they get really down and think that they can’t do Melaleuca at all. So my ideal audience is a mom whose why is to create a good life by building an income but who also wants the freedom to make bacon and eggs for her kids in the morning. I don’t want the top earners—I want the little mamas who are hustlers with grit and perseverance!” Don’t sweat the small stuff. Everyone starts with zero followers. Don’t be discouraged if you aren’t growing your account as fast as you’d hoped or if your Facebook friends aren’t interested in learning about Melaleuca right away.
