YMCA Groundbreaking Celebration
Leadership from the YMCA of South Florida, Broward Health, and the City of Fort Lauderdale welcomed donors, partners, and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the newest YMCA Family Center and Broward Health Emergency Department (ED) at Holiday Park. This transformational project, with a combined 60,000-square- foot YMCA and Broward Health ED, will sit on a 3.5-acre site, donated by the City of Fort Lauderdale. Located adjacent to The Parker, this unique hub is designed to build a healthier community with new programs and services for all ages. This is the first YMCA in the country to include an ED as part of its footprint and is the first freestanding ED for Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale.
