The Community Foundation’s 2025 Community Builders Celebration
Guests recently gathered for the inaugural “Spirit of Giving Night” at Dillard’s at the Galleria Mall to support leaders from seven local nonprofit organizations. Distinguished honorees included Don D’Arminio and Marc Martorana, Carey Warburton, Javier Iglesias and Amanda Martin, Eileen LaMarca, Jamie Wasserman, David and Doreen Vozzola, and Jen Klaassens. Each was honored for their dedication to giving back and for championing causes that strengthen the South Florida community. All enjoyed a festive evening with culinary tastings, wine and spirits, live entertainment, shopping, and raffles. The inaugural event, which raised nearly $20,000, was in collaboration with Dillard’s, The Capital Grille, and BBX Capital. “Spirit Of Giving Night” Honors Star Community Leaders
Community Foundation of Broward hosted an unforgettable evening “under the sea” to honor its 2025 Community Builders, visionary philanthropists who partner with the Community Foundation to create endowed charitable funds of $1 million or more in support of shaping a brighter future for Broward. Dev Motwani, Gary Wendt, Alice and Mike Jackson, Robert Taylor & Robin Taylor Fleming, June Wise, and the Little Owl Fund (created anonymously) are now among the 66 Community Builders who have partnered with the Community Foundation to transform and invigorate the community they love with endowed giving that ensures their impact never ends. During the celebration at Pier Sixty-Six’s Aviva Ballroom and Lawn, South Florida’s top community leaders, philanthropists, and influencers were among the guests who gathered for an enchanting evening to recognize those who uplift, connect, and inspire.
