About WCN Wisconsin Christian News represents a cooper- ative effort by active Christians from all walks of life. In our pages and on our website, you will find Infor- mation, Education and Inspiration, with a majority of the articles written by members of our “WCN Fam- ily” of contributors. There is something of interest to every member of the family. We hope you are blessed and become a regular reader. WCN seeks, at all times, to publish the TRUTH, regardless of “political correctness,” standing up for America’s historical Christian heritage and urging a return to biblical, moral standards. We offer very thought-provoking commentary, inspired teach- ing, real life testimonies, world, national, state and regional news, plus advice and information from experts in their areas of business and ministry -- all in the various sections of our 48-page newspa- per. In addition to providing valuable content to the Christian community, we focus equally on reach- ing those who are lost and seeking, and those who may have been alienated from church as an institution in the past. You’ll find WCN on the racks in the lobbies of grocery stores, family restaurants, shopping centers and malls and most Christian book stores. Of course, you can also find a copy at many of our “Ministry Partner” advertisers’ business and ministry locations. This is our outreach to the mar- ketplace, and we receive many wonderful testi- monies from people who have found the Lord for the first time, or returned to Him, after many years away, after finding our newspaper in a public place. Our Doctrinal Statement • There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. • Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was
• The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all na- tions. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. • There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and pre-mil- lennial. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. All viewpoints expressed in Wisconsin Christian News are those of the authors and do not nec- essarily represent the viewpoint of the publishers. conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He died, was buried and arose from the dead ac- cording to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of right- eousness and peace. • The Holy Spirit is sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. • The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as origi- nally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. • Man was originally created in the image and like- ness of God; he fell through disobedience, incurring, thereby, both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the love of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. • Salvation has been made available through Jesus Christ for all men; those who repent and be- lieve in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. • It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion. • Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mor- tal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the church in the present age.

The Threat From Within
By Jim Schneider, Executive Director, VCY America March 2025
(Applause) It’s not every day that you are part of a denomination who will ordain not only a woman to ministry, but who allow that woman to be a drag king. For God, all things are possible.” (Applause) In yet another example of the threat from within, “Reverend” Mariann Edgar Budde, who targeted President Trump and politicized her message on In- auguration Day, has also warped and twisted the Scriptures pertaining to abortion. Recently on Face the Nation, which airs on CBS, while dressed in the clerical collar she stated, “I love the spectrum of life. I think you can be an adherent of the spectrum of life and still respect a woman’s right to choose in re- productive health. And, including when to have an abortion in the early stages of pregnancy. So, I’ll just say that as a Christian. I believe that’s possible and still hold to the full spectrum of life.” We must understand she is grossly distorting the Scriptures! The Bible clearly teaches that God is the Author of life. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.” (Genesis 1:27) We are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14) The Lord said to Jereimah, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5). While countless other examples could be provided regarding the threat from within, we must not be caught off guard. Matthew 7:21 warns, “Not every one that saith unto Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Fa- ther which is in heaven.” There are many wolves in sheep’s clothing. The Apostle Paul could not be any clearer as he warned Timothy of the perilous times that would come in the last days. One such warning he gave addresses this very issue, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (II Timothy 3:5) It behooves us as believers in Christ to recognize the threat from within religious circles and from those who seek to undermine the authority of the Scrip- tures. There is no alternative; we must turn away from them! VCY.org
In mid-February, Vice President JD Vance trav- elled to Germany to address the Munich Security Conference. Upon completion, the Deep State within Europe and around the world was joined in large by the legacy media to show disapproval. The reaction was swift: Boris Pistorius, Germany’s Defense Minister, pro- claimed in his own Munich speech that what V.P. Vance said was unacceptable: CNN: Vance turns on European Allies in Blister- ing Speech. Kyiv Independent: JD Vance’s Munich speech met with shock, bewilderment, and almost no applause. The Bulwark: JD Vance’s Free Speech Hypocrisy in Munich. Politico EU: Vance brings a wrecking ball to diplo- matic gathering in Munich. BBC: JD Vance attacks Europe over free speech and migration. New York Times: German Chancellor Rebukes Vance for Supporting Party That Downplays Nazis. Pravda: Europe is outraged. So, what did the Vice President say that was so egre- gious? He indicated that the threat he most worries about for Europe is “not Russia, it’s not China, it’s not any other external actor. What I worry about is the threat from within. The retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values: values shared with the United States of America.” V.P. Vance went on to share how the government had attacked those in silent prayer outside an abor- tion clinic or was clamping down on what government saw as “hateful content” on social media pages includ- ing police carrying “out raids against citizens sus- pected of posting anti-feminist comments online as part of ‘combating misogyny’ on the internet.” He also called out the Scottish government as they “began dis- tributing letters to citizens whose houses lay within so-called ‘safe access zones,’ warning them that even private prayer within their own homes may amount to breaking the law.” Indeed, the threat from within has the potential to bring down a nation. But governments alone cannot be singled out from this threat from within. The threat from within is also coming from religious cir- cles.
Recently in Massachusetts, the Worcester City Council held a public hearing on becoming a sanctu- ary city for “trans and gender-diverse people.” After hearing from the people, the Council voted 9-2 to make such a declaration. Among those speaking were individuals from the “religious” community. The Christian Post reported, “Among those who spoke out in favor of the resolution was Julie Payne- Britton, a pastor at the Hadwen Park Congregational Church, which is affiliated with the progressive United Church of Christ. Payne-Britton, who identifies as a disabled, cisgender lesbian, sported a clerical collar as she told council members that if Jesus were at the meeting, He would be ‘dressed in full drag.’ She said, ‘The Jesus I know would be dressed in full drag and serving face, or handsome as a trans man, or wrapped in the garb of a non-binary person who knows one gender is way too small to capture their gloriousness.’ Payne-Britton claimed, ‘The Jesus I know would be at this mic with a trembling voice and a shaking body and tears that will not be held back crying, ‘make this city safe for my child.’” Yet another abomination from within the religious community occurred at the Cathedral of Hope church in Dallas. This church, in their Facebook post, invited the public as follows: “Join us for a transformative cel- ebration of identity, creativity, and spirituality at our special, ‘Celebrating the Art of Drag’ worship services on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 8:30am & 10am.” While introducing their special guest, the senior pas- tor proclaimed to those in attendance, “With God all things are possible.” He repeated, “All things are pos- sible. That means that a preacher can be a drag king.

Don’t Let Your Weak Flesh Stop You
By Rob Pue March 2025 In the hectic activity of our daily lives, it’s easy
only to find them asleep. They were understand- ably tired and worn out. Most likely, none of them could truly grasp the magnitude of the sit-
nity — to witness to others, to minister to and serve others, to be ready with answers to deep spiritual questions, to snatch the souls of those
to become comfortable and complacent when it comes to our personal devotion to God and our own personal spiritual condition. Many attend church weekly, but many others don’t have a good, solid Bible-teaching church in their area. Many have good intentions to study God’s Word daily, and many actually do, but for others, their daily devotional and prayer time can easily end up on the “back burner” when life gets busy, and we get tired.
who are ignorant and about to perish from deception, confusion, delusion and ultimately, eternal damnation. That’s what Jesus’ disciples eventually went on to do with their lives, after He returned to sit at the right hand of God. But before they could go forth and minister to all the world, they first needed to really understand the things of God and cultivate great reverence, honor and awe of Him in their own hearts. It was only after they were so deeply spiritually moved that their “flesh” became strong — strong enough to endure any type of persecution and
I understand that many of us are tired these days. We need to work hard and
put in long days to earn a living, and the cost of everything has risen substantially with rampant inflation and price increases due to “shortages” — many of which I believe are intentionally im- posed on us by nefarious groups. And work is only a part of our lives. We also have busy home lives, with cleaning, maintenance, repairs, bro- ken appliances and house projects to do. Then we have family commitments and at the end of the day, it’s not uncommon to simply be worn out. Worship of, and reverence for God is something all Christ-followers have in their hearts, some- thing we certainly want to make a priority, but often times, life just gets in the way, unless we are intentional about our spiritual commitment. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, and today, both the spirit and flesh easily grow weary. On the night of His betrayal, Jesus went to the Mount of Olives and told His disciples, “My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death. Tarry ye here and watch with Me.” This was just after the Last Supper, when our Lord had shown Himself to be the ultimate Ser- vant of all. He’d washed His disciples’ feet, in- structing us to learn the humility to do likewise as we follow Him in service and ministry to oth- ers. It was an intimate, significant moment in history. But then after asking His disciples to watch with Him, He went further on by Himself, fell on His face and prayed to the Father, asking if it would be possible that the cup of wrath would pass from Him. But He added, “neverthe- less, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.” The scene here is one of great spiritual distress, turmoil and sorrow. Jesus knew what was com- ing and that He must face it. He knew He would soon suffer and be killed in the cruelest of ways, to defeat the works of the devil and offer the only way of salvation and reconciliation for mankind to return to God the Father.
uation at hand, and though He had asked them to “watch” with Him, they all fell asleep.
hardship and gain the ability to deny themselves in order to serve the King of kings...willing to “love not their own lives, even unto death.” Are we that devoted and committed to our Lord? I doubt many of us are. Not really. Our spirit may be willing, but we always have an ex- cuse. Can we not devote one hour to our Creator and Savior each day? And if we, who know the truth, are unable to reverence and honor the Lord like this, how much more lost are those who have never heard the Word, because no one has ever told them? Our world today is about as Godless as it’s ever been. As I follow our local news, I grieve as I see the weekly “crime gallery.” This is a published listing of mug shots of people arrested for various crimes. The people range in age from 18 to 85. The crimes run the gamut from forgery to identity theft, to child abuse, drug use, drunk driving, and extreme violence against others; even mur- der. I look at the faces of those arrested and see broken people and lost souls. What’s missing from their life is just one thing: God. If they knew God, reverenced Him, feared Him, honored Him...their lives would have been so different. Instead, most are now facing inevitable prison time and a life in ruins. Not to mention the many other lives they’ve destroyed with their crimes. And for each face I see in the “crime gallery,” I know there are a great many more just like them who just haven’t been caught yet. Yes, our world is filled with people who don’t know the Lord or anything about Him and if they do, there’s no re- spect, fear or worship of Him. You can rarely go anywhere in public without hearing foul language or seeing people — young and old — so confused, lost and deluded. I have empathy for the crimi- nals because I know that without God in my own life, this could very well be me. “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanc- tified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” Should we not fall to our knees daily in thankfulness, praise and worship of the One Who saved us? Can we not “watch one hour?” Have we become so cavalier, so comfortable and complacent that we’ve come to take God and our spiritual life for granted? Are you satisfied with your current spiritual state, or do you have a deep desire to grow more, to reverence God more, to honor Him more, to worship and serve Him more? Do you already have that intimate, personal relationship with your Creator and Savior you so long for? Or...is something missing, and you know it?
Even Peter, who had just vowed to never aban- don Jesus, had fallen asleep in His greatest time of need. Matthew 26:40, “And He cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, ‘What, could ye not watch with Me one hour?’” Peter must have been ashamed of him- self. But Jesus went away alone again to pray — two more times — and each time He returned to the disciples, they were sound asleep. By that time, Judas, the one who betrayed Him, had arrived with his group of killers, sent by the chief priests and religious elders to arrest Him. The time to “watch” with Jesus was over, and upon His arrest, all His followers, including Peter, “forsook Him and fled.” Indeed, our spirits may be willing, but our flesh is so weak. What would have made the disciples’ flesh stronger in that moment of fear? Paying more attention to the Lord’s words, His teach- ings, His commands. Having the spiritual eyes to see and discern the gravity of the situation. Understanding that in everything that happens in our lives, every time of opportunity is there for just a fleeting moment. The door of opportunity always closes quickly, and slams shut tightly. I would submit to you that this time in the Gar- den of Gethsemane, at the base of the Mount of Olives was the most significant time of testing the disciples had ever faced up to that point. It was also the most significant time in the history of mankind, second only to Christ’s crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection. Yet Jesus’ disci- ples couldn’t grasp the significance. In our modern world today, we’re presented with many times of great significance in our lives, but we usually underestimate what’s right before our eyes, and only understand later, when it’s too late. Those times of opportunity pass quickly, and the door of opportunity slams shut with a bang. Then we grieve as we realize what we missed.

Thank You For Smoking?
By Daniel Oliver, AmGreatness.com March 2025
later in life, so we don’t want teen use to be going up.”
Kamala Harris promised, “I will legalize recre- ational marijuana, break down unjust legal barri- ers, and create opportunities for all Americans to succeed in this new industry.” Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) on Senate legisla- tion to decriminalize marijuana said, “This long- overdue legislation will protect legal businesses and workers in Colorado, open up research into
“Thank You for Smoking” was the title of Christo- pher Buckley’s 1994 humorous novel, made into a movie in 2005. Buckley’s book exposes the ab- surdity of defending smoking despite the over- whelming scientific evidence of its dangers. While precise numbers are difficult to calculate, federal spending on anti-smoking efforts, includ- ing campaigns, research, litigation, and medical cessation programs, likely has ex- ceeded $10 billion over the past fifty-plus years. And yet the recreational use of marijuana has been legalized in 24 states, three U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia. Another seven states have decriminalized its use. The mind reels. And yet, help may be on the way: newly installed Health and Human Services Sec- retary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may be able to galvanize the country into rejecting mar- ijuana. He waffled on the topic during the campaign but more recently said he be- lieves cannabis does hold serious harm potential. That’s an understatement: he needs to study up and prepare for the fight of his life. Opposing the marijuana industry will be an uphill task. There’s big money there, as there’s big money in tobacco. And the list of politicians who support legalization is long and disheartening. Kennedy will have to take on much of the De- mocrat establishment in the country, which, given how the Democrats treated him recently, shouldn’t keep him awake at night. Here’s Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on mari- juana: “It’s past time for the federal government to catch up to the attitudes of the American people when it comes to cannabis. That’s why we’re rein- troducing the Cannabis Administration and Op- portunity Act, legislation that would finally end the federal prohibition on cannabis while prioritizing safety, research, workers’ rights, and restorative justice.”
Dr. Gil Kerlikowske, former director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, remarked, “Legal- ization is off the charts when it comes to discus- sion, from my viewpoint. . . . It’s a dangerous drug.” Dr. Kevin Hill, addiction psychiatrist at Harvard Medical School, asked the giveaway ques- tion: “Is medical marijuana just a ploy to le- galize marijuana in general?” A high school student could give the correct answer to that question. Sec. Kennedy needs to get a chart ready to display to Congress, and especially the American public, showing the money trail. In 2024, Illinois reported more than $2 bil- lion in cannabis sales, resulting in more than $490 million in state tax revenue. This marked the fourth consecutive year of record-breaking sales. Since launching its legal cannabis market, New York has approached $1 billion in sales. Tax revenues have included $22 million for local gov- ernments and more than $16.6 million for the state treasury. In 2022 alone, states collected nearly $3 billion in marijuana revenues. Projections suggest that nationwide legalization could generate approxi- mately $8.5 billion annually in tax revenue for all states. Collectively, states with legalized marijuana have amassed more than $21 billion in tax rev- enue from recreational and medical cannabis sales to date. But, of course, there’s another side to the coin: the higher the taxes, the more illegal activity there will be. States’ efforts to create and then tightly regulate legal markets for marijuana have — sur- prise! — made the black market for weed bigger than it’s ever been. That’s one kind of crime. Another is local crime. Readers who live in small towns anywhere near where marijuana is being sold should ask their local police about marijuana- related crime. They are unlikely to be enthusiastic about legalizing marijuana after that discussion. And what about healthcare costs? Car accidents caused while driving high? These are all economic costs that offset the supposed tax benefits. Given the number of people promoting mari- juana, we have to ask, where’s Christopher Buck- ley when we need him?
cannabis, expand tax revenues, and help address historic inequities in our justice system.”
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AK) is in favor too: in July 2022, in response to the question, “Should mari- juana be legalized federally?” she said, “Yes.” And of course, Sen. Elizabeth (“Feathers”) War- ren (D-MA) couldn’t resist sending her own smoke signal: “Legalizing marijuana is about more than just allowing recreational use, or the potential me- dicinal benefit, or the money that can be made from this new market. It’s about undoing a cen- tury of racist policy that disproportionately tar- geted Black and Latino communities.” Warren reminds us that rule by monarchy might not be so bad after all. Secretary Kennedy needs to read up on the lit- erature critical of marijuana. There’s enough to keep him busy for weeks.
Dr. Jennifer Bailey, principal investigator with the Social Devel- opment Research Group at the University of Washington, said this: “Early use and heavy use during ado- lescence can have a lot of negative health con- sequences, then and

Now, I’m going to ask you to do more than just “watch one hour.” I’m going to ask you to invest one weekend to vastly strengthen your spiritual commitment. On April 4th & 5th, Wisconsin Christian News is hosting a Ministry Conference with the theme, “Revival & Rev- erence, Returning to God.” What could possibly be more important or ur- gent — for all of us — than a thorough deepening of our faith as we come to- gether as the Body of Christ in reverence, repentance, worship and awe? This is not just “church as usual.” This is a special time of learning, spiritual growth, renewal and worship. Our speakers will include Art Pawlowski, the Cana- dian pastor who’s been ag- gressively persecuted by the Canadian government for years now, simply for preaching God’s Word. We’ll have Dr. Ted Broer from Florida, offering deep insights on prayer and ex- plaining what happens when we pray. We’ll also have Pastor Matt Trewhella, Scott Schara and Dawn Wolf from Wisconsin, as well as Coach Dave Daubenmire and Dr. Mike Spaulding from Ohio; Pas- tor Butch Paugh from Call To Decision Ministries of West Virginia, and national recording artist and retired pastor Layton Howerton from Montana. Our theme verse for the event is Psalm 51:10, “Cre- ate in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Yes, Lord. Oh, how we all need that.
I’m also asking that you do your best to bring some guests with you. Do you know a young person who’s struggling with confusion, depression, lack of direction for their lives, and answers to questions that no one has been able to provide? Please, bring them. Do you have friends who are “nominal Christians?” Do they have a form of God- liness but still deny the power thereof? Would you like to minister to them in ways they’ve never experi- enced before? Bring them with you. Is your own fam- ily fractured or broken? Are there relationships that you need to mend? Perhaps even your own marriage. Come. Come home to Jesus. Don’t remain stuck in the never-ending news cycle of politics and cultural the- ater. There’s no political so- lution for our spiritual condition. Nothing else but returning to God will ever heal our land. It’s time we took 2nd Chronicles 7:14 seriously, instead of simply quoting it and then lament- ing that nothing has changed. If things are to change — in your own life, in the lives of those you care about and love, in our overall culture and society — it’s really up to you. God doesn’t force anyone to come. Instead, He stands at the door and knocks. Has Jesus been knocking on the door of your heart, yet you’ve managed to ig- nore Him? If He is knock- ing, He won’t stop. He’s not willing that any should per-
ish. If people perish, it’s be- cause that is what they chose. This is your Call to Decision. I know there will be many reasons why you think you can’t come. There will be many excuses the enemy whispers in your ear to keep you away from this event. Instead of telling yourself why you can’t come, ask a better ques- tion. Ask, “how can I make it possible to be there?” Ask, “how can I bring others with me?” Ask, “Is God Himself call- ing me to be there?” And ask, “Is this not exactly what I’ve needed in my life for so long?” The Conference will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Wausau, Wisconsin. We begin Friday night at 5 pm and then resume on Saturday morning at 8 am. We’ll finish Saturday by 6. Those who wish to be baptized will also have that opportunity at the end. Pre-registration is re- quired, and tickets are just $69 per person — for a full weekend like you’ve never experienced before. Go to: WisconsinChristianNews.com for the details or call me for more information at (715) 486-8066 . This is a once-in-a-life- time opportunity, and that door of opportunity is open to you now...but now you must decide what you really want and need in your life. More of the same? Or something infi-
nitely more deep and sub- stantial? April 4 & 5 is coming up quickly. You owe it to yourself, your loved ones and God to com- mit to one weekend. Your spirit is willing. Don’t let your weak flesh stop you.

The Left's Corrupting Of Intelligence Agencies Are Cultish
By Ben Johnson, The Washington Stand March 2025
“It/its user here. While I understand we can make some people un- comfortable, keep in mind that the dehumanizing aspect either a) doesn’t apply or b) is a positive effect when we’re requesting it.” Other chat participants used “xe/they” and “they/them” pronouns in their bios. The message boards often devolved into discussions of polyamory, the whistleblowers revealed. One NGA employee at-
and having meetings all day about it. They got themselves into po- sition to help craft policy and started pushing the idea that if you want to get promoted, you have to participate in these events.” The continual left-wing recruitment is the culmination of decades of Democratic presidents’ decisions to open the intelligence agen- cies to increasingly niche, radical activists. President Bill Clinton al- lowed members of the LGBTQ movement to have access to classified information when he signed Executive Order 12968 in 1995. The Obama administration began openly recruiting such activists no later than 2012. Michael Barber, pro- gram manager of the CIA’s LGBT Community Outreach and Liaison, co-hosted a recruiting event with the Miami- Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The Biden administration posted ads for intelligence agents who identified as LGBTQ. “And then everything became Pride,” the whistleblower said. “It was like a cult that was hellbent on pushing gen- der ideology.” There are only “a very small number of them, but they wield an enormous amount of power. And outside of the sick stuff, you also see a prevalent Marxist philosophy,” said the whistleblower. “They hate capitalism. They hate Christians. They’re always espousing socialist and Marx- ist beliefs.” The intelligence agency employees abused those who objected to their radical activism by engaging in cancel culture. “They just got hammered. They would just start coming out with ‘transphobe’ and ‘homophobe’ right away or calling you a ‘racist.’ And that’s why a lot of folks are still hesitant to say anything, be- cause you still have people at these agencies in those key spots. It infected everything,” said a whistleblower. The activism impacted national security. Analysts sometimes re- fused to write complete and accurate reports on America’s adver- saries, because they may have to use to use that person’s “dead name,” the name they used before identifying as transgender. “The folks that are into this don’t put their effort into their work. I don’t care if you’re politically left or right; you can’t have an unbiased mind if you’re writing a report, and you’re constantly focused on ‘how does this apply to gender ideology,’” the whistleblower said. “When you do that, it’s going to get people killed in the field.” “The folks like that were quite unstable. I see it as a counterintel- ligence risk. But it’s being normalized and it’s being praised,” said the whistleblower. “I hope this is the start of getting our intel agen- cies back to what they should be doing, which is focused on intel and supporting the warfighter.”
The Trump administration promptly ordered the firing of roughly 100 federal employees whom whistleblowers exposed for turning the nation’s intelligence agencies into “a cult that was hellbent on pushing gender ideology,” creating “a counterintelligence risk” that is “going to get people killed in the field.” The employees produced messages from an online forum dedicated to government work items in which agents promoted transgender surgery, sexual fetishes and polyamory, while cheering the death of evangelical leader Pat Robertson. “They hate capitalism. They hate Christians. They’re al- ways espousing socialist and Marxist beliefs,” said one of the two insiders at the National Security Agency (NSA). Two NSA employees, one still with the agency, turned over screenshots of numerous explicit online messages from the Interlink messaging program designed for the U.S. intelligence community’s professional activities. Some of the messages — written by employees of a wide range of federal intelligence services — discussed the sexual benefits of having one’s genitals removed, disown- ing family members who expressed opposition to gender ideology, and “ethical non-monogamy.” The intelligence agencies, intended to investigate na- tional security threats, became infested with hives of like- minded activists who used their perch in the sensitive government agencies to promote their views at taxpayers’ expense. “According to the current NSA employee, these groups ‘spent all day’ recruiting activists and holding meetings with titles such as ‘Privilege,’ ‘Ally Awareness,’ ‘Pride,’ and ‘Transgender Community Inclusion,’” re- vealed investigative journalists Christopher Rufo and Hannah Grossman, who published many of the messages that fell into their hands. Several employees discussed the physical euphoria they experi- enced after having transgender “bottom surgery,” which attempts to transform healthy male anatomy into faux female genitalia. “Mine is everything,” wrote one intelligence agent, who dubbed the surgery “100000000% worth it ... I would not change anything if I had to do it again.” Long discussions mulled the propriety of increasingly non-biolog- ical pronouns. An employee at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) insisted that, if someone asks you to use dehuman- izing it/its pronouns, or foul language long used as slurs, "refusing to is a form of erasure." One such individual made a self-introduction on the chat forum: A Meeting Place For Wisconsin Christian
tempted to explain the ponderous relationships of members of a “polycule,” a group of people who engage in “polyamory,” or open relationships: “A is my [girlfriend], and B-G are her partners. . . . then B&C are dating but not C&D, nor E, F, or G with any of the oth- ers, though there are several MWB (metas-with-benefits) connec- tions. LOL.” The casual sex habits of “polycule” members get so tangled that “in some cases not all members have even an idea who the others are.” Employees were constantly trying to “one-up” one another with how pro-trans they were and how deviant their practices had be- come, said a whistleblower. Rufo recoiled when The New York Times described the messages as containing “sexual themes” in its coverage of the story. “The chat messages contained more than ‘sexual themes.’ They weren’t dis- cussing symbolism in Madame Bovary,” noted Rufo. An NSA whistleblower told Rufo the cultural arrangements began a decade ago, under then-President Barack Obama. Slowly, the niche events and discussions overtook the entire organization. An employee “could be hired as a mathematician, a staff officer, or sys- tem engineer, but you would spend your time going to these events

The Salt & Light Brigade
Keep Your Paddle In the Water
By Coach Dave Daubenmire March 2025
“Government” was intended to be a verb…but we have turned it into a noun. Most Ameri- cans couldn’t care less about race. Weary of struggling, both sides long for a return to nor- malcy. But there is the rub, we can no longer agree on exactly what it is that is “nor- mal.”
If you are anything like me, you would have to admit that the last 55 months have been a pretty rocky ride. There have been many times when I
simply looked out my living room window and wondered where in the world did my country go. The election of Donald Trump to a third term…and the second term he gets to serve…has been a splash of cool water in the face of many a wearied soul. From 2020 to 2024, we all witnessed an acceleration of wickedness like America has not seen since the dark days of our War Between the States. Everything I had come to believe America was about seemed to be under assault. The oldest trick in the book is “divide and conquer,” and it sure seemed as if we were receiving a Master’s Degree in Dystopia as the battle over TRUTH raged like a California wild fire. I often wondered if, in fact, America would survive. Although my hopes are a little bit higher than they were this time last year, the survival of the America we all grew up in still seems to be hanging in the balance. Perhaps it is just my stage in life, but I still long for the days of “baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet.” I want those days for my ten grandbabies. What kind of Grandpa would leave this mess of America as an inheritance to his grandkids? I honestly believe that, at the end of the day, most Americans want the same things for their progeny. Love, joy, peace, security, and happiness would certainly be at the top of most Americans’ wish list. You know, the ‘gospel of Rodney King.’ “Why can’t we all get along…?” I wish it was that simple. The Bible asks a very simple question. “Can two walk together except they agree?” Can America survive when we can no longer agree on the basic truths of life? Most Americans are good people. If the truth were to be told, they simply want to be left alone to live their lives in peace. But there is an anti-liberty spirit that has en- veloped this nation, and that spirit has written on it’s chest “DIVIDE AND CON- QUER.” “One Nation, Under God” has be- come nothing more than a slogan on a T-shirt. We have been here before. America sur- vived one Civil War. I don’t know if we can survive another. No matter which political team you find yourself rooting for, it is time both sides stopped using Government as a weapon.
raft and out onto the water, our guide took us through the do’s and don’ts to ensure a safe and enjoyable time. One of the rules that he shared with us has served me well throughout my life. It was a simple phrase…but appropriate today. “Men!,” He would say with every eye look- ing at him. “Here is the most important thing I can instruct you on today. It is im- perative that you follow this rule. When we head into the rapids, and as long as we re- main in the rapids, KEEP YOUR PADDLE IN THE WATER. Pushin’ against the waves will keep you in the boat.” There are rough rapids ahead for all Americans and I offer you the same advice I received 30 years ago in the hills of West Virginia.
The battle lines are drawn, and the dukes are up. The 50 year-long “cultural war” is heading to the modern version of Gettysburg. So, where does that leave us? What if we don’t want to be on either the Republican or the Democrat team? What if our desire is to once again live as “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all?” Is that really impossible to achieve? I recently had a discussion with a buddy of mine who earns his living as a builder. We were discussing a remodeling project I was considering, and I was surprised at how high his estimate came in. When I questioned him about it, he responded, “Coach Dave, reconstruction is always more complicated than new construction.” The road ahead will not be easy. The fu- ture of Western Civilization hangs in the balance. As many of you know, I lived my previous life as a High School Football Coach. One of the most difficult things to do is to take
“If you wanna stay in the boat…keep your paddle in the water.”
Reconstruction is harder than new con- struction. Grab a paddle. It is time to get to work.
