New and Noteworthy August 28th, 2023

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month is Around the Corner! September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month (PCAM) and ZERO will be centering our activities around early detection. Our goal is to educate men and their families about prostate cancer risk factors, encourage screening, and elevate overall disease

awareness, but we cannot achieve this goal alone. We need your support in spreading the word about early detection. Attached to this email is our 2023 PCAM social media toolkit, which provides direction and draft content on how you can utilize social media and reach more men to encourage early detection. Our toolkit also provides information on how to promote all of the exciting PCAM activities we have planned. Thanks to a generous match, donations are DOUBLED through September.

Interested in supporting a future match or learning more about PCAM sponsorship opportunities? Contact Jess at jessica@zerocancer.org for more information.

2023 Support Group Leader Event Recap! ZERO’s annual Support Group Leader Event took place on August 11th-12th in Dallas, Texas. We are excited to report that sixty Support Group Leaders were in attendance this year! Support groups provide those impacted by prostate cancer, from patients to caregivers, the opportunity to be with others who share their experiences and have a common purpose. Our Support Group Leaders are volunteers who have personal experience with prostate cancer. This event equips our Support Group Leaders with updated information, educational materials, and tactics on how to support their community. Stay tuned for our Support Group Leader Event Impact Report for more information on the importance of this event!
