SAVOR A CULINARY JOURNEY. Downtown El Paso boasts countless diverse and delicious
restaurants, all of which might be jam-packed on Valentine’s Day. Just be sure to book those reservations early, as Valentine’s is one of the busiest restaurant days of the year. While we love heading to 1700° Steakhouse at Paso del Norte, it is on the pricey side. However, it’s worth the annual splurge. Sheri and I also enjoy Paso del Norte’s Dome Bar with its stunning 25-foot Tiffany stained- glass dome and tasty cocktails, Ambar inside the renovated Plaza Hotel and Anson 11 for its cool vibe and great menu. STROLL THROUGH SAN JACINTO PLAZA. After the meal of a lifetime, take a leisurely stroll through San Jacinto Plaza, the historic heart of downtown El Paso. Admire the city lights, and if you’re lucky, catch a live performance or event at the Plaza Theater. The ambiance is perfect for hand-in-hand walks and quiet moments amidst the charming surroundings. INDULGE IN DESSERT DELIGHTS. Cap off your evening with something sweet! Downtown El Paso offers a range of dessert options, from artisanal ice cream parlors to pastry shops. Share a decadent dessert or enjoy a cup of coffee at a charming café, relishing the sweetness of the moment. Downtown El Paso’s unique blend of culture, history, and culinary delights sets the stage for a Valentine’s Day celebration that you and your loved one will cherish. While I am in a trial this Valentine’s week and Sheri is taking Clayton to look at colleges, I promise Sheri a small raincheck on this excellent staycation idea. Happy Valentine’s Day!
