2025 Camp Life - Before You Go Guide

IMMUNIZATIONS

At this time, the CDC and WHO do not require any immunizations for travel to Zambia. However, it is recommended that travelers consider travel vaccinations such as COVID-19, Hepatitis A, B and Typhoid, as well as staying up-to-date on routine vaccinations (e.g. Chickenpox, polio, ect.). Medication for Malaria is also recommended in Zambia, especially for those adding on a side trip vacation to their Camp Life experience. For more information about immunizations, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at www.cdc.gov/travel. We recommend that you refer to your primary physician for medical advice related to your upcoming travel. The guidance you receive from your doctor will be specific to you and your overall health, such as other medications and personal preferences.

TEAM MEETING

You will receive a Team Meeting video via email this year at the end of March. The team meeting video is critical in preparing you for Camp Life as we will be going over things like key travel information, packing list tips, spiritual preparation, and programming. Keep an eye out for more details on how to watch!

OPTIONAL VIRTUAL CALLS

Our goal as your Short-Term Missions team is to ensure you feel prepared and fully equipped for your Camp Life trip. To achieve this goal, we are now offering personal virtual calls with your Mission Account Manager for all new Camp Life participants or any alumni with additional questions or concerns. These calls will be an opportunity for you to ask questions regarding Camp Life tasks, travel, packing, or your time in Zambia. If you want to schedule a Camp Life virtual call, please reach out to your Mission Account Manager.
