2. A Golf Outing is a member-sponsored group of 24 or fewer players with a reserved starting time. Outings may only be scheduled for a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at an approved time by the General Manager or Director of Golf. At least one club member must be present in the group. If available, caddies or one forecaddie per group will be required. 3. All players must be appropriately attired and conform to the rules of golf regarding generally accepted golf course etiquette and golf cart usage. 4. All Tournaments are subject to the approval of the Golf Committee. The General Manager and the Director of Golf may approve Outings. 5. Members wishing to host such an event should first contact the Director of Golf or General Manager. HANDICAP & SCORE POSTING 1. Any member who wishes to have a handicap should contact the Golf Shop. 2. A total of 54 holes (three 18-hole or six 9-hole rounds) must be played to establish an official Handicap Index. 3. Once 20 scores are recorded, the best 8 scores of the last 20 will count towards your Handicap Index. 4. A player should submit his or her score as soon as possible on the day of play, after completion of the round, and before midnight. In the event that you fail to post on the same day, the score should still be posted. 5. Rounds played alone should not be posted for handicap purposes. 6. Handicaps update daily. See the GHIN app for your current handicap. This will vary based on the tee played. There is no longer an adjustment for players playing from different tees. 7. If you play 7 or more holes, please post a 9-hole score. If you play 14 or more holes, please post an 18-hole score. 8. For holes not played, net par is considered your score (Par plus any handicap strokes received at 100%). 9. For handicap posting purposes, a player’s maximum score on any hole is net double bogey. For example: A player with a Course Handicap of 15 receives one handicap stroke on holes with a stroke index of 1 through 15 on the scorecard. On a par 4 with a stroke index of 10, the player’s maximum hole score is 7. Double bogey (6) +1 handicap stroke = 7. For players posting initial scores to establish a handicap index, the maximum hole score is Par + 5. 10. When starting a hole but not finishing it, record the score most likely to be made, not exceeding net double bogey.
