NAM Economic Report: Rising Orders, Strong Jobs The National Association of Manufactures released its Monday Economic Report which indicated a strong labor market and an increase in new orders for manufacturing goods: “Nonfarm payroll employment surged by 272,000 in May, surpassing the 12-month average of 232,000 and exceeding consensus expectations of 185,000.
