Bayside and Habitat employees and volunteers successfully: renovated and re-screened the side porch, landscaped the yard including trimming and removal of yard waste, mulching the front yard, clearing and creating a rock garden, general beautification of the home’s exterior. The residents were thrilled with the work and volunteered their time to assist. Many of their Bayside friends volunteered as well as Bayside employees! Our friends at Habitat provided skilled labor as well as additional volunteers, most importantly, everyone had a great day working together!

At the Center for Life Enrichment, our mission is “to provide programs and support services that will increase the vocational and personal potential of individuals with disabilities.” Increased independence, integration into the workforce, and the opportunity for social interaction is the focus of our services. Individuals supported by the Center can access our transportation system for trips to and from Center activities, as well as medical appointments, job sites and community activities. Vehicles are specially equipped to meet the needs of our clients. Drivers are trained in first aid and CPR, and have cell phones on board for use in emergencies.

Highlights: • Bayside was awarded a grant through Christiana Care which provided financial assistance towards generators, window and gutter replacement, bathroom renovation, repair and modification and wheelchair ramp/deck repairs to our residential homes. • For the second year in a row, Bayside was chosen by Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna’s ‘Cecil Cares Day’ to repair and beautify one of Bayside’s residential homes.
