STEIN WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

•Locations of the water system upgrades: Nuuautin IR 2, 2B, 21, and Kleetlekut IR 22. The Stein Water System expanse is on West and East side of the Fraser River. •Pump station upgrades will be located within Stryen 9, and Inkluckcheen 21. • The Water System will exceed the ISC requirements for fire storage and meet the Fire Underwriters Survey (FUS) specifications of 67 L/s for 1.5 hours for single-family homes, and 117 L/s for 2 hours for institutional buildings (specifically at the new Stein Valley Nlakapamux School). •The Water System is projected to support population growth over the next 20 years. This is based on growth projections from Indigenous Services Canada’s Indigenous Statistics and Research Unit.

Existing booster station located north of Battlefield Road. The new booster station along Alkali Road will look similar.

Inside the existing water treatment facility at Stryen 9. A new pump is being added to this building.
