Although we met only briefly on that snowy and peaceful Wednesday morning of December 3rd, 2014, you have left a lasting impression in many a heart and soul. Sadly and tragically at 2:48 a.m., on that fateful morning, you lost a valiant and courageous battle that you fought for 10 long weeks with your heart broken mommy Melissa Sabourin. You never gave up the fight, and we never gave up hope. We only wish you could have met your siblings Chase (15), Mercedes (9), Madison (4), McKenzie (3) and Mason (8 months), but God had another purpose for you. He needed another Angel, and so after our precious hours together, He took your soul and a piece of our heart and brought it to Heaven where it’ll stay until we meet again someday. Rest in peace our courageous son Maverick McDonald. You’ll forever be in our memory and alive in our hearts. We would like to thank each and every person that has extended well wishes, condolences, kind words, prayers, loving hugs and offers of good will. We are forever grateful for the outpouring of support that we have received from everybody, including our family and friends, and all other people who’s life Maverick touched in some way.
