At Embry-Riddle, academic advising plays an important role in preparing you for a successful academic journey. As part of registration, you will benefit from a streamlined course registration process, where you’ll be pre-enrolled in a tailored set of courses based on your degree program. This ensures you begin your academic career at Embry-Riddle on the right path. Advisors will be available to answer questions, explain degree requirements and make any necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth transition into your first semester. Please be sure to complete the New Student Intake Form found in ERNIE > Campus Solutions > Tasks list. The information you provide will assist your academic advisor in creating your schedule. If you are accepted conditionally, please contact your academic advisor to register. If you have been admitted provisionally, you will not be able to register until you have met the provision(s) of your admission. All new or re-admitted undergraduate students are required to complete the ALEKS math assessment regardless of the level of math they will take at Embry‑Riddle. Click on ALEKS in your ERNIE Student Homepage To-Do List, and click on the ALEKS link to access the math assessment. The link for ALEKS is also available in your ERNIE Tools. You may take up to three practice attempts at ALEKS without proctoring. Each practice attempt will remain open for 48 hours, during which you can freely quit and resume the exam. The exam will typically take 90 minutes to complete. After a practice attempt, you can use an ALEKS Learning Module to help review any topics you may have had trouble with. To enroll in MATH 111, you will need to earn a score of 46 or higher in a proctored ALEKS exam. If your score is equal to 70 or higher, you will be placed in MATH 112. To enroll in MATH 241, you will need to earn a score of 76 or higher in a proctored ALEKS exam. Embry-Riddle will provide an online proctoring service so that you can take ALEKS from your home at a time and date of your choosing; you will need access to a computer equipped with a webcam. Proctored ALEKS attempts are limited to 120 minutes and must be taken in one sitting. Only proctored ALEKS scores will be considered for placement in MATH 241. We strongly recommend that you complete the exam at least once by
June 15th and complete the proctored exam by August 1st. If you need assistance, you may call Academic Advising at 928.777.4799 or email pcadvise@erau.edu .
