Continue to expand and develop our Early and Mid-Career Researcher network. Rationale: We have identified gendered patterns around promotion cases, REF impact cases and successful grant applications, which have been predominantly male.

Develop and deliver a series of ECR connect events.

At least 2x events delivered each year.

Launch a survey to understand the extent to which early and mid- career female academics have comparable academic, practitioner and policy networks to male academics, following this develop a plan to address any differences identified. To develop new research centres to encourage bids for external grants, engagement and impact by ECR.

Findings of the survey reported to Research Impact Committee.

Interventions in place to address any disparities identified from the survey.

September 2028

Pro-Dean (Research)

An increase in instances of research income generated by ECR.
