Field Operation
MAXX RIPPER START UP TIPS
THIS IS A GUIDE ONLY AND MUST BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
The K-Line Ag 3200 Maxx Ripper is a heavy-duty deep tillage tool designed for hard pan removal and soil fracturing. 1. ROLLER DEPTH • The key operating principle of the Maxx Ripper is that the roller controls the depth of the digging, and the front wheels are to remain just off the ground in operation. 2. SPEED RANGE • The maximum speed that may be achieved whilst working will be heavily dependent on soil conditions and tractor horsepower, However; • It is not recommended to operate at speeds in excess of 6km/hr (4mph) even if they can be achieved. This is because the subsoil hard-pan depth may vary within a field, or there may be other objects under the ground (such as large rocks) that may cause stalling. Damage may occur to implement or tractor if stalling from too great of a speed. 3. HEADLANDS/TURNING • When turning on headlands lift the Maxx Ripper out of the ground with the wheels, and retract the wheels when re-commencing ripping on the following row. 4. ROAD TRAVEL SPEED LIMIT • 32kmh (20mph). NOTES: IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH STALLING DURING OPERATION, YOU CAN USE THE WHEEL AND LIFT THE RIPPER SLIGHTLY. IF YOU FIND USING THE WHEELS MORE THAN NOT DURING OPERATION, YOU ARE DIGGING TO DEEP FOR THE HORSEPOWER YOU HAVE. MOVE THE DEPTH PINS TO A SHALLOWER HOLE AND TRY AGAIN.
