LOT OF RECORD: A lot which is part of either: 1. A subdivision with a plat which has been recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Deeds. 2. A parcel of land described by metes and bounds, with a deed which was recorded prior to the adoption of the applicable Zoning or Subdivision Regulations. LOT SIZE REQUIREMENTS: Zoning district restrictions on the dimensions of a zoning lot, including: 1. Minimum lot area, width and depth , which establish the minimum size of a zoning lot on which a structure may be built or a use may be established. 2. Maximum density , which establishes the maximum number of dwelling units that may be constructed per unit area of a residential zoning lot. (See LOT COVERAGE.) LOT SPLIT: The division of a single lot within a recorded plat or replat of a subdivision into 2 lots, each of which meets the criteria for a zoning lot. (See Subdivision Regulations, Article 10 for Lot Splits, and Section 8-103 for Zoning Lot criteria.)
LOT WIDTH: The distance on a horizontal plane between the side lot lines of a lot, measured at right angles to the lot depth line (see LOT DEPTH diagram) at the front yard building setback line. 1. Lot width for a corner lot is based on whichever street frontage has been selected by the owner as the "front yard".

LOT, ZONING: (See LOT/ZONING LOT.) LOW-SPEED VEHICLE: Any 4-wheeled electric vehicle whose top speed is more than 20 but less than 25 miles per hour, which is manufactured to comply with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration standards for low-speed vehicles. See 49 C.F.R. 571.500.
