PARCEL DELIVERY LOCKER: A self-service parcel pick-up facility where customers can select a specific locker location as their delivery address, and retrieve packages at that location by entering a unique pick-up code.

PARKING SPACE: An area of sufficient size (typically at least 8 ½ feet wide and 19 feet long) to store one car, not in the public right-of-way but connected directly or indirectly to a street by a vehicle access way, and intended for the primary purpose of storing a motor vehicle when the vehicle is not in use. 1. PERMANENT PARKING SPACE: A paved parking space in a parking lot, carport, garage, or public parking garage. 2. TEMPORARY PARKING: A paved area which may be used for short-term storage of a motor vehicle, but which is not designed or intended as a permanent parking space. a. For the purposes of these Zoning Regulations, a driveway serving as access to a garage or carport is not considered permanent parking space . However, if a zoning lot has no carport or garage, a driveway may be utilized as a permanent parking space. PARKING STRIP: That portion of a street right-of-way which is not paved for use by motor vehicle traffic, typically extending from the back of curb to the street right-of-way line. Often used for signs, street lights, utility infrastructure, drainage facilities, sidewalks and street trees. Also know as a planting strip or tree lawn. (See Subdivision Regulations, Section 5-106-D3c.)

  PARKING GARAGE, PUBLIC: A structure or part of a structure, other than a private or repair garage, which is available to the general public for short-term parking of vehicles.  PARKING LOT: An area at ground level, where motor vehicles may be stored for off-street parking. Parking lots may include CARPORTS providing covered parking. 1. Associated access aisles, queuing or holding areas, and pedestrian access ways are considered part of a parking lot. 2. The definition of parking lot does not include : a. Parking areas for single-family and two-family dwellings. b. Vehicle storage and display areas on sales lots for new and used vehicles. PARKING, OFF-STREET: Parking spaces located anyplace other than within a street right-of-way, including but not limited to those in PARKING LOTS, CARPORTS, GARAGES, and PUBLIC PARKING GARAGES.
