STREET HARDWARE: Constructed objects other than buildings that are part of the streetscape. Examples include lightpoles, utility poles, traffic lights, traffic signs, benches, trash receptacles, planting containers, utility boxes, and fire hydrants. STREETSCAPE: The combination of all the elements visible along a street, which defines its character. Streetscape elements include building exteriors, paving, lightpoles, utility poles and boxes, street furniture, plantings, parking areas, signs, and other miscellaneous street hardware. STREET WALL: A building wall facing a street, where there is not another building between the wall and the street. STREET WALL LINE: A line that extends from a building parallel to and aligned with a street wall, until it intersects a property line or another street wall line. 1. If a building has a curved or angled street wall or is on an irregularly-shaped lot, the associated wall line extends parallel to the street from the point of the street wall which is closest to the property lines most nearly perpendicular to the facing street. STREET WIDTH: The shortest distance between lines delineating the right-of-way of a street. STREET YARD: The area of a zoning lot which lies between the property line abutting a street, and the building or the farthest street wall line of a building.
