a. OPTION: Calculate each frontage on a multiple- frontage lot separately , and add the required landscape areas together. If this total is smaller than the results from the average lot depth calculation, the smaller of the 2 required landscape area calculations may be used. (1) For long narrow zoning lots, calculating each frontage separately generally results in a smaller required landscape area. For zoning lots with frontages of similar length, the average lot depth calculation generally results in a smaller required landscape area. b. On multiple-frontage zoning lots, the required area of landscaped street yard does not have to be equally distributed to the various street frontages. (1) Each street yard should have a minimum of 20% of the total required landscaping.

EXAMPLE LANDSCAPE AREA CALCULATION for Street Yard in Multiple Frontage Lot — SUM OF THE STREET FRONTAGES:

Frontage A (200') + Frontage B (120')=320', SUBTRACT THE GREATEST PERPENDICULAR: minus Perpendicular B (50') = 270' ; AVERAGE LOT DEPTH: (202'+98')/2=150'; THE FACTOR IN THE TABLE FOR 150' LOT DEPTH IS 10' ; MINIMUM REQUIRED LANDSCAPE AREA: 270' x 10' = 2700 square feet distributed with at least 20% (2700 x 0.20 = 540 SF ) in each of the 2 street yards.
