National Apprenticeship Week:our biggest celebration yet National Apprenticeship Week 2026: 9 - 15 February
Leigh-Ann Hart ACIPP, End-Point Assessment Team Leader, IPP Education, shares our plans for celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2026
Y ou may be reading this at the start of February as we prepare to kick off National Apprenticeship Week 2026, or you may be reading it long after the balloons have deflated and the typical day-to-day has resumed. Perhaps you’ve caught sight of this between the 9th and 15th February when celebrations are in full swing. Whatever the timing, I hope you embrace the spirit of appreciation for apprenticeships and maybe learn a thing or two you didn’t know before. IPP Education Ltd has been delivering apprenticeship assessments since November 2022 and the CIPP has long been a supporter of payroll apprenticeships, from delivering them under the old framework to now providing free membership for apprentices while studying. This year, the CIPP and IPP Education
have come together to once again celebrate and showcase apprenticeships within the payroll industry. We’re delighted to say that this year will be bigger and better than ever before. So, how exactly is it bigger and better? 1. The CIPP is an official supporter of National Apprenticeship Week 2026. The National Apprenticeship Week Supporters Club is a group of employers and stakeholders who are committed to helping inspire and influence people to choose apprenticeships. We’re proud to be part of this group and flying the payroll flag. 2. This year, our celebrations are being sponsored by MBKB Group. As a training provider that delivers both the Level 3 Payroll Administrator and Level 5 Payroll Assistant Manager apprenticeships, they’re committed to raising the profile of
apprenticeships, and this collaboration allows us to spread the word further. 3. We’ve reached out to apprentices and invited them into our head office so we can get to know them and delve into their apprenticeship journeys on film. We’ll be sharing these videos on social media throughout the week for everyone to celebrate. 4. We’ll be celebrating in the office, as well as online, and shall be encouraging others to do the same where possible. Balloons, pizza parties, cupcakes – whatever gets you into the mood for celebrating. 5. Last year, we hosted some fantastic informative webinars and this year, we’ll be hosting more great webinars focussing on the themes of ‘Employer Tuesday’, ‘Apprentice Wednesday’ and ‘Opportunity Thursday’.
