El atributo fundamental del Campus Isla Teja es su equilibrada relación entre el paisaje, vegetación y construcciones, que le confiere parte importante de su identidad. Se busca un equilibrio en la relación espacial entre la arquitectura, lo construido y la naturaleza. The key feature of the Teja Island Campus is its balanced relationship between landscape, vegetation and buildings, providing an important part of its identity. We aim for a balance in the spatial relationship between architecture, construction and nature.
Ideas principales - Emplazamiento: el edificio contiene tres grandes apoyos, núcleos de ingreso para cada uno de los tres institutos. - Relación con el entorno: se deja un primer piso despejado para garantizar la continuidad visual con el entorno paisajístico y la integración con la vegetación y edificios existentes. También se piensa en futuras reposiciones de edificios, y que estos últimos se integren armónicamente. - Funcionalidad: se propone un edificio en 7 niveles. Las oficinas y laboratorios son tratados como plantas libres para que puedan adecuarse a los cambios y requerimientos futuros. Se produce una circulación vertical central de escalera con ascensor para cada facultad, y una circulación horizontal de pasillo central que distribuye oficinas y laboratorios. Cada facultad controla su punto de ingreso, pero comparte conexiones horizontales en pisos superiores. - Espacio ingreso: se propone un espacio de ingreso fluido, accesible desde diferentes lugares y direcciones. Un espacio intermedio cerrado virtualmente con mamparas de cristal que converge en un espacio central de siete alturas, Plaza de Las Ciencias, cubierta traslúcida superior. Aquí se produce un espacio de ingreso común. Main Ideas - Location: The building has three large supports, the entrance cores for each of the three institutes. - Relationship with the environment: The first level is cleared to ensure visual continuity with the surrounding landscape and integration with existing buildings and vegetation. The future replacement of buildings is considered, to be harmoniously integrated. - Functionality: The proposal presents a seven-story building. The offices and laboratories are designed as open plans that can adapt to changes and future requirements. A central vertical circulation with stairs and elevator is provided for each faculty, and a horizontal central circulation corridor organizes offices and laboratories. Each faculty controls its entry point, but shares horizontal connections in the upper floors. - Entrance space: A fluid access space is proposed, accessible from different places and directions. An intermediate space, virtually enclosed by glass partitions, converges in a seven-story central area, the Science Plaza, with a translucent cover. It is a common entrance space.
