El Grupo Arquitectura Caliente convocó a estudiantes de 2° a 4° año de más de 20 escuelas de arquitectura de todo el país a participar en la primera versión del Concurso Nacional de Proyectos de Pregrado CNPP.
The Arquitectura Caliente group summoned 2nd to 4th year students of more than 20 schools of architecture around the country to participate in the first version of the National Undergraduate Project Competition - CNPP.
This young architecture competition evaluated 47 projects by undergraduate students, with one Grand Winner chosen by level, plus six additional winners and two honorable mentions. The main category winners were students of the Universidad de Chile (2 nd year), Catholic University (3 rd year) and Universidad Mayor of Santiago (4 th year). The organization of the competition was conducted by the AOA, with architect Pablo Gil as director. The jury was composed of Sebastián Gray, Felipe Soffia, Cristóbal Molina, Pilar Barba, Alberto Fernández, Blanca Zúñiga, Enzo Vergara, José Tomás Franco and Rayna Razmilic, who all gave informed criticism of the finalist projects. This event follows the National Degree Project Competition - CNPT, also summoned by the Arquitectura Caliente group and organized by the AOA.
En este concurso de arquitectura joven se evaluaron 47 proyectos desarrollados por estudiantes, de los cuales se escogió un Gran Ganador por nivel, además de seis ganadores y dos menciones honrosas. Ganadores de la categoría principal fueron alumnos de la Universidad de Chile (2 do año), Universidad Católica (3 er año) y Universidad Mayor de Santiago (4 to año). La organización del concurso estuvo a cargo de la AOA, con el arquitecto Pablo Gil como director. El jurado fue integrado por Sebastián Gray, Felipe Soffia, Cristóbal Molina, Pilar Barba, Alberto Fernández, Blanca Zúñiga, Enzo Vergara, José Tomás Franco y Rayna Razmilic, quienes entregaron fundamentadas críticas a los proyectos finalistas. Este certamen se extiende al Concurso Nacional de Proyectos de Título CNPT, también convocado por el Grupo Arquitectura Caliente y con la organización de la AOA.

Tras evaluar se escoge un terreno que pertenece a la Villa Fresia para generar un proyecto de vivienda colectiva que rehabilite el sector. Las viviendas deben seguir la lógica del conjunto pre-existente. El proyecto busca dar una nueva estética a la zona, manteniendo leyes formales y criterios propios del lugar. El concepto que se buscó potenciar es el de espacios comunes, siendo cinco módulos (40 viviendas) de hormigón armado, abiertos por sus caras oriente y poniente; en su parte superior presentan un espacio de uso múltiple y en conjunto generan un patio duro respetando dimensiones del conjunto existente. After proper evaluation the site chosen is part of the Villa Fresia community, with the purpose of generating a collective housing project to renew the area. The housing must follow the logic of the pre existing complex. The project seeks to provide the area with a new aesthetic, maintaining the formal laws and criteria of the place. The concept to enhance is that of common spaces, with five modules (40 homes) of reinforced concrete, open at their east and west sides; on the top end they present a multipurpose space and together they create a hardscape courtyard following the dimensions of the existing complex.
