Master’s program ( 1-year track ) IPPP International Public Policy Program Degree Master of International Public Policy The IPPP is a one-year program for mid-career diplomats and public officials, developed in collaboration with JICA. Students choose a focus in either International Affairs or Public Policy based on their background and goals. The program helps participants reflect on their experience, strengthen analytical skills, and approach global policy issues from broad, long-term perspectives. The IRP builds expertise in global politics, diplomacy, and security through a multidisciplinary curriculum. Students gain insights from experienced faculty and peers from diverse backgrounds, preparing for careers in diplomacy and international affairs.
The IDP provides practical and theoretical training to tackle global development challenges. Students learn to design and evaluate policies, preparing for roles in international organizations, NGOs, and government agencies.

To support students’ academic success and career goals, IUJ offers two language programs through the Center for Language Education and Research (CLEAR): English and Japanese.
Cross-Registration IUJ's unique cross-registration system encourages students to customize their graduate education according to their career goals by allowing them to takee courses from not only their own graduate school but also from the other graduate school at our university, the Graduate School of International Management.
I chose GSIR at IUJ for its academic excellence and personal growth opportunities. As an Aeon Scholarship recipient, I deepened my knowledge of international relations and cultural communication, learning from classmates of diverse nationalities. The English Program includes a wide range of courses to build academic, business, and practical English skills. Highlights include the Intensive English Program (IEP) for incoming students and professionals, as well as specialized courses in academic writing, research, and professional communication. The Japanese Program provides structured instruction from beginner to advanced levels. Emphasis is placed on communication skills and discussion of specialized topics. Business Japanese and an annual student presentation event are also offered. In addition, the program places a strong emphasis on supporting students in passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). Students are encouraged to learn basic Japanese prior to arrival.
