JUNIOR STRINGS 14TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL n This year’s festival saw over 50 young string players perform in a concert alongside their peers and in front of parents and staff. All the performances were assured and impressive, and gave the adjudicator, Mrs Caitlin Kelly (Head of Lower School Music and Head of Year 8), a difficult job in deciding who to award prizes to. Certificates and adjudication sheets were presented after each class, and the first and second place winners of each class were invited back to perform a Winners Showcase Concert at the end of the day. The Caroline Barnes Cup, which is presented to the most promising performer was this year awarded jointly to Sebastian H (Violin) and Yusuf B (Electric Guitar).
