Juno recovers up to 90 percent of the materials it processes, diverting them from landfills and incinerators and circulating them back into the economy for reuse as raw materials and biogas. “Sustainability, resource stewardship, the circular econ- omy — they’re not just buzzwords or virtue signals for the paper and packaging industry,” said Mary Anne Hansan, President of P+PB. “They’re at the core of what the indus- try does and has done for decades.” The Paper and Packaging Board announced production of a new video that focuses on what really gets recycled from the recycling bin. “The Future of Recycling” is a peak into the state-of-the-art investments the U.S. paper and pack- aging industry is making to keep paper recycling working for the next 100 years. The three-minute video gives viewers an insider tour of two new facilities showcasing the kinds of technology the U.S. paper and packaging industry is investing nearly $7 billion in through 2025.
