Faculty Biographies

Dr. Calobrace is a graduate of Indiana University Medical School and completed residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Subsequently, he com- pleted a cosmetic and breast surgery fellowship with Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell and began practice in Louisville, Kentucky in 1997. He has dual clinical faculty appointments with the Departments of Plastic Surgery, at the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky and received teaching hon- ors in 2007, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019. Dr. Calobrace also is the direc- tor of his Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship endorsed by ASAPS (Aesthetic Society for Plastic Surgery). Dr. Calobrace is an Internationally and Nationally-recognized leader in aesthetic breast surgery, has participated in multiple FDA clinical breast studies and has been a consultant and speaker for Allergan, Mentor, Galatea, SIA, Evolus, Revance and Sientra. He also performed live surgery at the 2009, 2014, 2016 and 2019 Atlanta Breast Symposium and 2018 Advanced Aesthetics Meeting in St Petersburg Russia. He co-authored the 10-year clinical FDA trials for Sientra and Mentor. Recently, his publi- cation in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal entitled, “The Safety of Smooth and Textured Silicone Breast Implants” was the recipient of the Best Journal Article Paper award for ASJ 2018. Dr. Calobrace also received the prestigious ASAPS 2018 Scott Spears Award for Best Lecture on Breast Surgery. In 2020, he published a textbook on Augmentation Mastopexy published by Springer and a video series on “Options in Mastopexy” with QMP Publishing. Dr. Calobrace is traveling professor for the Aesthetic Society. He also is a member of the Informed Consent, IDEA, Aesthetic Training Program and Breast Implant Illness task forces and chairs the BIA-ALCL task force for the Aesthetic Society. He also serves as a clinical editor for the Aes- thetic Surgery Journal. In practice since 1992, Dr. Glicksman has authored numerous textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles. She lectures nationally and internationally on the management of breast implant complications, the diagnosis and correction of breast asym- metry, Breast Implant Illness, High Resolution Ultrasound, and patient education in breast augmentation. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Aesthetic Education and Research Foundation (ASERF), Co-Chair of the ASERF Scientific Research Committee, and is a clinical editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. She is the first woman to serve asa Medical Director for a US breast implant clinical trial (Motiva, Establishment Labs). She holds three US patents related to breast surgery and in 2020 she completed her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law from Seton Hall Law School.
