Artistic Director: Janie Morgan is a Professor of Dance, Artistic Director of Repertory Dance Ensemble and choreographer for the theatre productions at Missouri Valley College. She received her MFA in Dance from Arizona State University (ASU) and her BFA in Related Arts/Dance from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Janie has trained, taught, choreographed and performed throughout TX, PA, NY, AZ, MO, London and Namibia, Africa. She has taught and presented choreography at the American College Dance Association Conferences, where she currently serves as a Board Member, and has presented her research at National Dance Education Organization Conferences and the Council for Exceptional Children Conferences. She happily resided in Marshall, MO with her wonderful husband, beautiful daughters and silver labs. Lighting Designer: Harold Hynick is a Professor of Theatre and Director of The MVC Flatliners Improv Troupe. He is the 2016 recipient of Missouri Valley College’s John McCallum, Excellence in Teaching Award. At Valley, he founded the Summer Performing Arts Camp. Throughout the year he presents workshops on improvisation, Laban movement for actors, and Shakespeare performance. Hynick is actively involved in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival where he developed the Long Form Improv Intensive Workshop and Showcase. His production of The Tempest received a Meritorious Achievement Award, and scenes from his productions of Endgame and Heads were performed in the Showcase of Invited Scenes. He frequently performs with The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre during the summer, and each December he performs a one man adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Costume Designer: Dyann Rozema earned a BA in Theatre from Missouri Western College and an MFA in Design and Technology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She has worked at the university level teaching, designing costumes and managing costume shops for over 40 years. While she has worked for professional theatre companies such Missouri Repertory and Stages St. Louis, she prefers the academic setting. Dyann has former students working all over the country. Her teaching centers on costume design, construction and pattern drafting but also includes makeup, wigs (styling, ventilating and alteration), masks, dyeing techniques and costume crafts (jewelry, millinery). She has presented various workshops at state Thespian festivals and the United States Institute for Technical Theatre (USITT).
