In this heartfelt novel about integrity, honesty, and friendship, previously home-schooled Emma is starting public school and more than anything wants a best friend. She is paired with a boy named Jack for a project, and his interest in animals leads them to bond over a bunny that Emma rescued over the summer. But Emma is worried that spending time with Jack, who is not very popular at school, will keep her from the best friend she’s meant to find.
