Cross Fell, the tallest point at 893 meters, and the distinctive peaks of Knock, Dufton, and Murton pikes rise dramatically from the landscape, marking this area of outstanding natural beauty. Appleby Castle standing as a testament to centuries of history. Recently restored by the indomitable Lady Anne Clifford, it offers a glimpse into the past and a striking vantage point over picturesque surroundings.

The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on- Windermere offers a delightful experience for all the family. This vibrant visitor centre brings all 23 enchanting tales to life. Visitors can meet favourite characters such as Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggy Winkle, and Jemima Puddle Duck. There is also a themed café, perfect for indulging in a scrumptious High Tea or treating the kids to a Peter Rabbit Picnic Basket. Fresh soups and salads are also on the menu, made with ingredients from the on-site kitchen garden. This is one for the whole family to enjoy!
