Inland Achieves Idealliance G7 Master Qualification Inland, a label and package printer that serves the food, beverage, health and beauty and consumer goods industries, has achieved G7 Master Qualifica- tion, awarded by Idealliance, a not-for-profit industry group dedicated to guiding print production best practices, specifications, and standards, worldwide. FTA Fall Meeting To Coincide With Memorial Tournament Registration is now open for the Flexographic Tech- nical Association’s Fall Conference 2017, themed The Gateway to Technology . This year, for the first time, Fall Conference will coincide with the Gary Hilliard Memorial Golf Tournament. The conference will take place at the Hyatt Re- gency St. Louis at The Arch, in St. Louis, MO October 9-11. Presentations will be given by FTA’s Technical Innovation Award winners. Attendees will witness a full demo of a hybrid printing project that combines flexographic and digital printing. Plus, attendees will get a glimpse into calibration, fingerprinting and opti- mization through the eyes of Flexographic Image Re-
productions Specifications and Tolerances (FIRST). Following the conference, there will be a comple- mentary tour of the Mark Andy Inc. facility located in Chesterfield, Missouri. The Gary Hilliard Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on October 8, the Sunday prior to the Con- ference. Net proceeds for the outing will go to the Gary Hilliard Scholarship Fund. Bobst Celebrates 75 Years Of Folder-Gluer Production In 2017, it will be seventy-five years since Bobst started designing and producing folder-gluer ma- chines for the packaging industry. One of the very first such machines, a PCR382, was set up in 1942 at the Zeiler company near Bern, Switzerland.This same company, which under its cur- rent name, Limmatdruck Zeiler, is now a successful part of one of Europe's leading manufacturers of fold- ing boxes — the RLC Packaging Group — is, to this day, still a Bobst client. Today’s client can purchase complete folding-gluing lines that reportedly combine configurable machines with top-of-the-range peripher- als to provide integrated and automated solutions.
