How Do BTECs Work?
Assessment: Unlike IGCSEs, which are largely exam-based, BTECs are assessed through a combination of coursework, assignments, and in some cases, practical exams or controlled assessments. Levels: BTECs are available at different levels, from introductory Level 1 to advanced Level 3 qualifications, which are equivalent to A Levels. At ICS Amman, we typically offer BTECs at Levels 2 and 3, depending on the subject. Subjects: BTEC qualifications are available in a wide range of subjects, including Business, IT, Sport, and Creative Media. These courses allow students to explore their interests in depth and gain relevant experience for higher education or employment.
Why Choose a BTEC?
BTECs are ideal for students who prefer continuous assessment to end-of-course exams and enjoy applying their knowledge to real- world scenarios. They are widely respected by universities and employers alike, making them a versatile option for students looking to progress to higher education, apprenticeships, or directly into the workforce.
