Looking Ahead to Post-16 Education
While Post-16 education may feel like a distant milestone, it is important to consider your longer term goals when selecting your Year 10 IGCSE/ BTEC subjects. The choices you make now lay the foundation for your future Post-18 studies and career aspirations. Achieving positive outcomes in your IGCSEs will open up a wider range of pathways at Post-16, including A Levels, BTECs, and other qualifications that will align with your interests and strengths. By choosing a balanced combination of subjects that reflect your passions and ability, you will be better positioned to succeed, and have the flexibility to pursue pathways that matter most to you. Keep your future aspirations in mind and do not hesitate to seek advice from your teachers or the Options Team.
Examination fees
While ICS Amman provides extensive support to ensure students are fully prepared for their IGCSE and BTEC assessments, it is important to note that the costs associated with BTEC Registration and Examination entry fees are not covered by the school. These fees are payable by parents and vary depending on the examination board and the number of subjects taken. Detailed information about these fees will be provided as they become available from the British Council. Invoices and instructions for payment for entries to examinations will be issued by the Examinations Office prior to the sitting of the examinations. BTEC registration fees are due when students have started the courses in Years 10 or 12.
