Course Expectations The BTEC International Level 2 in Business Award equips students with practical skills and knowledge for real-world business. Students are expected to engage actively in lessons, meet deadlines, collaborate effectively, and apply learning to real- world scenarios. Key skills such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork are developed, with a strong focus on professionalism and independent learning to prepare for future success.

Examination Structure Assignments will be set for you to complete throughout the duration of the course. These may take the form of projects where you research, plan, prepare, make and evaluate a piece of work or an activity, case study or presentation. Some of the assignments are written whilst others can be voice notes or filmed. Each unit within the qualification has a specified assessment and grading criteria which are used for grading purposes. A summative unit grade can be awarded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. The mandatory units are assessed via an assignment brief and issued by Pearson. The final optional unit will be assessed by an assignment brief that is issued by the school. Students who complete the unit, but who do not meet all the pass criteria are graded ‘unclassified’.
