Examination Structure The following table shows the weighting of the assessment units towards the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Information Technology Mandatory Units There is 2 mandatory units, which are assessed by a set assignment. Learners must complete and achieve a Pass or above in the mandatory units.
Optional Units Learners must also complete 2-3 optional units with a total of 180 GLH.
Achievement of the qualification requires demonstration of depth of study in each unit, assured acquisition of a range of practical skills required for employment or for progression to higher education and successful development of transferable skills. Learners who achieve a qualification will have achieved across mandatory units where applicable.
