What is a BTEC?
The Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) qualification is a practical, skills-based alternative to traditional academic qualifications like IGCSEs and A Levels. BTECs focus on real-world application and hands-on learning, making them an excellent choice for students who thrive in coursework-based environments and are interested in pursuing specific career pathways. BTECs are designed in collaboration with industry professionals to ensure students gain the knowledge and skills that are most relevant to the workplace. They combine theoretical understanding with practical assignments, such as projects, presentations, and work-related tasks. This approach allows students to develop key skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication, while also mastering technical or vocational knowledge in their chosen field.
