For all articles (research, case histories, and perspectives and commentary), care should be taken not to disclose any personally identifiable information regarding research participants or organizations involved unless written consent has been obtained. If names of the involved organization and participants are changed for confidentiality, this should be highlighted in an endnote. Authors are required to state in writing that they have complied with APA ethical standards. A copy of the APA Ethical Principles may be obtained at http://www.apa.org/ethics/. Perspectives and Commentary Defense ARJ invites long-form articles that provide perspective and commentary on pressing matters that concern defense acquisition and lay the groundwork for future action and research. These articles should identify topical issues of relevance to the defense acquisition community, sufficiently document the issues and their consequences using appropriate references and citations, and arm the reader with actionable information in the form of recommended solutions and/or potential research questions. Although these are neither research articles nor case histories as described above, they must nevertheless be rooted in real-world circumstances. Perspectives and Commentary articles should contain the following components: • Introduction • Background • Relevance to the defense acquisition workforce • Analysis of issue/problem, and outline of consequences under the status quo • Proposed solutions and/or potential research questions Book Reviews Defense ARJ readers are encouraged to submit book reviews they believe should be required reading for the defense acquisition professional. The reviews should be 500 words or fewer, describing the book and its major ideas, and explaining why it is relevant to defense • Summary • References
