One Small Step for Space Acquisition Doctrine
the space acquisition tenet. Further analysis later revealed responses discussing SOWs and GFE, which strengthened the overall alignment with the tenets. Lastly, a theme discovered during the analysis recommended using OTAs for prototyping and flexibility. OTAs were considered for inclusion in the proposed space acquisition doctrine. Question 18 Sentiment was measured at approximately 34%, which indicates that respondents shared proportionately more negative experiences in their response to this question (Figure 21). The question aimed to understand policies that enabled or hindered the integration of modern technologies and tools. The way the question was posed may have influenced more negative responses. As a result, the coding process was repeated to extract empowering themes rather than focusing on barriers. This additional analysis was prompted by the prevalence of negative sentiments in the initial theme results (Figure 22). The following prompt was used to obtain the code list found in Figure 23: "Please re-do the analysis and produce codes that are enabling and positive." The results illustrate the power of using AI tools to follow up initial analysis with follow-on, fact-finding questions to drive toward the desired results (i.e., positive best practices).
